Nancy may prefer to be snowboarding down a mountain or yacht racing in the New York Harbor, but she assures everyone that she’s equally happy in the office pouring over her latest creative endeavor. Truth is, she’s an accomplished designer, trained architect, published design journalist, patent holder and prolific blogger.
She began her career working for fashion designers Michael Kors and Norma Kamali before heading back to school for two Masters degrees (Architecture & Digital Design) from Parsons School of Design. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to work on the retail design team at Virgin Entertainment Group. It wasn’t long before her East Coast roots called her back to New York, and she eventually joined L’Oréal Paris as Art Director. For more than six years, she was responsible for design and direction of packaging, merchandising and marketing collateral for this international beauty brand.
In the publishing world, her experience is noteworthy: she was a design editor at I.D. (International Design) Magazine and has written for Wallpaper*, Frank, Men’s Health and Architectural Record, among others.
