For Moncler’s latest release, the Italian fashion house teamed up with three European artists to interpret ski-inspired pieces for the 2011/12 snow season.
Jordi Labanda conjures up 60s lounge style with playful illustrations (complete with oxygen masks) reminiscent of the pioneering 1954 Karakorum climbing expeditions, an important piece of Moncler’s history.
Paris-based illustrator Alexandra Compain-Tissler uses traditional pencil technique for a black and white drawing that evokes vintage mountain photography, including the iconic rescue St. Bernard.
Erin Petson creates a delicate and ethereal mountain scene with watercolor-like techniques. Her interpretation for Moncler plays on her fluid style of fashion croquis.
The limited-edition quilted women’s jackets are available at Moncler boutiques November 2011. $1395
